50th birthday celebration at Tower of London

For nearly 1,000 years the mighty Tower of London has stood in service of the monarch, anchored on the shore of the River Thames.

What better venue to celebrate your 50th birthday party, than amongst the distinctive atmosphere of an historic castle, one with centuries of stories for your guests to take away.

This evenings guests started their evening by being escorted by a Yeoman Warden to the Jewel House. No experience of the Tower is complete without seeing the world’s most valuable array of crowns, coronation regalia and jewels.

They then ventured along a lantern lit path to the centre of this ancient fortress and World Heritage Site, to its oldest and most recognisable building – the White Tower. Here they were greeted with magnificent champagne and fabulous canapes including lobster and Oscietra caviar. They then entered into the dining room to a long table with flowers cascading down the sides onto the floor. Huge flower arrangements circled the table, creating a room within a room, giving it a real intimate feel.

The clients brief was that he wanted really classic dishes, and with guests used to eating in some of the best restaurants in the world, we defeated the cooking limitations of this venue and served up stunning options like Scottish Langoustine, Classic Beef Carpaccio, Veal Saltimbocca and Poached Dover Sole.

After a fabulous dinner with a fabulous DJ set throughout, the guests departed after the Ceremony of the Keys, walking the stone paths of this amazing venue, concluding yet another wonderful night at the historic Tower of London.
